Guy Arish, the culinary captain of Mashya has worked hard to ensure that everything featured in his restaurant has been made by local Tel Aviv artisans, right down to the plates and cups. Mashya was created to pay homage to the character of Tel Aviv, a city that has seen much change in the last few decades but hasn’t forgotten its historical and culinary roots. Every year new additions are added to the Shuks of Tel Aviv and the team at Mashya do their best to bring customers an updated or current version of Tel Aviv’s personality. Some of their signature dishes include grouper pastrami with sumac and creme fraiche and hanger steak with kimchi, miso sauce, and puree.
