Dok is Chef Assaf Doktor and Chef Yotam Doktar’s second restaurant in Tel Aviv. Because they are passionate about sourcing locally, and even use several ingredients from their own garden, their menu changes seasonally and includes dishes such as baked kohlrabi with crumbled cheese, and Chef Assaf’s personal favorite: lamb wrapped in herbs on a bed of burnt eggplant cream and salad. Many of the dishes have global inspiration from Russian boiled potatos to raw Labenese kibbe with beef and herbs. Though the ingredients are almost all local, the food reflects Israel’s polyglot culture, with influences from across the Jewish diaspora.
