Mediterranean European Middle Eastern

Chef Hillel Tavakuli owner and creator of the Tel Aviv sensation Animar began his culinary career in Paris, transitioning to an internship at Le Gavroche, the first restaurant in London to receive three Michelin stars. For the next few years the young burgeoning chef traveled and worked in restaurants across Europe, collecting knowledge of Spanish and Italian cooking styles. Chef Tavakuli brought all of these experiences back to Animar to create new foods that fused several Mediterranean cooking styles into one, highlighting raw and pickled cooking techniques such as garlic cloves pickled with golfer and tamarind. You can taste and recognize hints of Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and Israel, prepared in the classic and beautiful gourmet styles of European kitchens.
