Bohem Art Hotel is located in the 5th district and was built in the 17th century. From 1884 to 1894, the building was owned by a famous proprietor, Manfréd Weiss. The Szénásy Írószer és Körzőgyár (stationery factory), which was built in 1903, was also in this building and the factory’s owner, Béla Szénásy, was a stationery wholesaler, the creator of Hungarian paper industry and trade, and the originator of the Budapest International Industry Fair. The factory was famous for its 1944 production of the Schutpasses which was the Swedish legation to protect the Jews during in the Second World War.
