Slava Bazarsky

The best way to see Israel is with a professional Israeli private tour guide. However, with thousands of guides to choose from, making the right decision can be difficult. This page will explain why you made the right choice!

My name is Slava, I’m a Private Tour Guide in Israel. I was born in Ukraine and moved to Israel with my family on the 1988 “Aliya.” We were on our way to the United States, but God had other plans for us, so we ended up in Israel.

I served in the Israeli military in one of the top intelligence units, which was unquestionably one of the best experiences of my life in terms of maturing and acquiring various “tools” for the future. I’m married with two beautiful daughters.

I graduated from the University of Tel Aviv with a BA in International Relations, and my next step was the Israel Ministry of Tourism academy, where I gained 2.5 years of valuable experience and a depth of knowledge about my beloved home, Israel.

I adore my incredible country, and after completing my military service, I work as a licensed private tour guide in Israel, specializing in cultures, religions, gastronomy, architecture, and archeology.

I crossed Israel back and forth and flipped every stone to tell you everything there is to know about my country.

I have been working as a private tour guide in Israel since 2006, and I am currently ranked in the top 10 best Israeli tour companies and among the best Israeli tour guides. I was also nominated by TripAdvisor as one of the best private tour guides in Israel in 2019 and won second place!

I am fluent in five languages (English, Russian, Hebrew, Arabic, and Ukrainian), and my services have been used by some of the world’s largest corporations and their guests.

Bein Harim

He established Bein Harim Tourism Services in 1993 and the company has grown an large amount during its existence.

The Caesarea full day tour starts with a drive north along Israel’s Mediterranean coast to the ancient city of Caesarea. Take an in-depth tour of Caesarea National Park that encompasses the ancient Roman theater, the hippodrome, and Herod’s Reef Palace. See the Roman bathhouses, restored frescoes, and mosaic floors and take a walk along Caesarea’s seafront promenade. Tour the remains of the Crusader city of Caesarea.

See the “Caesarea Stars,” an interactive presentation that covers the history of this ancient port city. Visit the impressive aqueduct that brought fresh water to the Roman city of Caesarea Maritima. Next, the tour takes you to Alona Park where lush green woodlands spread across a valley. Here you can visit a section of the ancient water system and it is possible to walk along the underground aqueduct through water 70cm-deep. You can also visit other places along the Caesarea aqueduct route.

Bruce Avishai

Bruce lived in the Boston, Massachusetts area and later graduated from Rutgers College with a degree in Political Science. He immigrated to Israel in 1972, where he has lived on a Kibbutz, worked as a guide in the Sinai desert, maintained a private farm for 10 years, and finally became a professional guide in 1991. Bruce’s first impression of Israel was that it is a most unique and sometimes indescribable place to be. Bruce’s personal journey and growth as a professional guide have only reinforced those feelings. He always desires to try to show people Israel’s “uniqueness”, in order for them to have true and lasting impressions of Israel. Bruce resides in Rehovot, just south of Tel Aviv, is a father of 3, and grandfather of 5.

Caesarea Maritima is an ancient city that was built by Herod the Great in 25–13 BC. It is located along the coast of Israel between Tel Aviv and Haifa, in a place formerly called Pyrgos Stratonos. This is also where Herod built his palace on a cliff overlooking the sea. Civil life of the new city began in 13 BC, when Cesarea was turned into the capital of Judea, and the official residence of the Roman procurators and governors. The remains of all major buildings erected by Herod lasted until the late nineteenth century. The remains of the medieval town can also be seen, which are the walls, the palace and the site of the cathedral crusade.

Modern Caesarea Maritima has a population of 4,500 inhabitants and it’s the only Israeli locality managed by a private organization, the Caesarea Development Corporation. It’s organized as a communal settlement, though not as a kibbutz or moshav. It is a city built in honor of the Roman emperor Caesar Augustus. Today it’s a small archaeological enclave declared a National Park with preserved Roman, Byzantine and Crusader ruins; also it has a Roman aqueduct and amphitheater.

Aaron Shaffier

I’m a licensed tour guide who guides groups, families and individuals to all parts of this amazing land called Israel. I specialize in tours designed to bring the Tanach (Bible) and Jewish history to life. I will work with you or your organization to tailor an itinerary to your needs. A tour guide can make or break your experience when visiting Israel. If you are planning a group tour through a tour provider, ask for me by name! You will know that you are getting a guide who is passionate about this land and will go the extra mile to make every member of your group happy.

Groups:
I work with you and your tour provider to build the ideal itinerary to meet your needs. When speaking to your tour provider, ask for me by name, that way I can be involved in the planning stages of your itinerary. Often tour providers want to impress you with how many sites they can squeeze into a short trip. I will work with you and your provider to create a realistic itinerary that will allow your group to truly enjoy their visit to the Holy Land.

Families and Individuals:
I will work with you to create an itinerary that will make your whole family happy. I will help you find the best options for lodging whether it be a hotel or bed and breakfast (Tzimmer) and I will help you find restaurants that cater to your price level and any special needs like Kashrut.

When you take me as a guide for your family, you will rent and drive your own vehicle and I will guide you. This saves you a lot of money. Guides who drive their own vehicle charge significantly more because they are doing two jobs at the same time, tour guide and taxi driver.

Sipur

Taking tour during a trip to Israel can enhance your travel experience by learning about the area from someone who lives there!

If you have never traveled to Israel before, but do not want to do an arranged package tour where you travel with the same group for the whole trip, consider doing an independent trip, but “supplementing” by arranging several day tours. If it is your first time in Jerusalem and you are there for four nights, you could arrange two half day tours and spend the rest of the time exploring yourself. If you are having a week in the Tel Aviv, spend one day with a me to see some of the wineries, historic sites or places you may not find on your own.

See my list of tours offered around the country including the beautiful Galilee, Nazareth, Zichron Yaakov, Safed, Acre, Tiberias, Haifa, as well as the Negev and Eilat region!

Ishai, a Jaffa resident who speaks both Hebrew and Arabic, weaves a rich tapestry of the past and present. Ishai uses the power of story-telling and his expertise in ancient and biblical history to take travelers back in time, as well as his extensive knowledge and local connections to show them the vibrant multicultural energy of today that makes Jaffa a city unlike any other in Israel.
