After the restoration of Lithuania’s independence, the territory of the cemetery was fenced off, and the surviving tombstones and their fragments were embedded in the wall of remembrance. An avenue of thuja trees is planted in honor of the 29 World Righteous of KlaipÄ—da County who risked their lives to save Jews. The former radio station building is now home to the KlaipÄ—da Jewish Community.
