Artists Colony
Hutzot HaYotzer (as it is known in Hebrew) is a charming studio-lined lane at the foot of the Old City walls, within a short walk from the Jaffa Gate and Mamilla Mall. Established in 1967 by the legendary mayor of Jerusalem, Teddy Kollek, the artist colony is a bridge between western and eastern Jerusalem. Teddy Kollek understood that art can and should be a ‘bridge of peace’ at the heart of this sacred city.
